My profession for the past 20 years prior to becoming a teacher was in the field of Banking/Finance and compliance, namely, at UBS AG and Antis Triantafyllides Law Firm. I was always interested in education and in 2012, during my time as a Teaching Assistant at the British International school, Riyadh, I was given the opportunity to follow my passion and became a Teacher. I enjoyed my new profession so much that I decided it was time to make a difference by pursuing my dream of contributing to the education and positive development of children which I believe contributes to the foundations of a peaceful and better world. I discovered the Montessori method of education and learned that our views on how education can create a ‘new world’ devoid of conflict and suffering were aligned. I completed a rewarding and fulfilling course and received my International Diploma for ages 2-6 from Modern Montessori International London, after also having the opportunity to complete my teaching practice in a Montessori school in Cyprus. I opened the Montessori Training Centre Cyprus (in association with MMI London) and The Child’s Workshop Private English Nursery School in Engomi, Nicosia on 9 September 2019.  I felt that I had to share my experience and promote the Montessori method of education. It is my hope that children feel at home at our school, to explore themselves and develop to their full potential so that they may go out into the world and change it for the better with their unique talents and skills.’
